Norton provides assistance and support to its customer based in its terms and conditions as mentioned in this Terms and Conditions Page.
Norton provides support to its customer within the support period and on the level of support purchased by the customer. Outside the support period, Norton will not be able to provide support to its customers.
When a customer purchases a product,they receive a non-transferable license to utilize the updates provided by the company. The updates and upgrades can be used by the customer within the product period. Customers are highly advised to download and install all updates to the products and ensure that the antivirus is updated regularly using an internet connection. The customer needs to read and agree to the privacy policies of the updates released by the company in order to use it. Failure in doing itmight result in the inability to fully utilize the product from the customer’s end. For upgrades, customers might need to change their hardware since upgrades generally require a hardware upgrade.
All the support provided by the company is limited to the current version and the previous version. The support from the company is in accordance to the End of Life agreement. The customer will need to verify if the product is eligible for support.
Norton tends to all its queries and customers at the earliest. However, various issues might need different response times. Due to maintenance and upgradation, the support page might be suspended for brief periods.
MacAfee tries to provide the best possible options to solve any issues and may include patches or workaround steps to fix the problem. When needed the company might need to run remote diagnostics to identify and solve the problem. If the customer opts for a technical on site diagnostic, then certain expenses might be incurred by the customer.
When purchasing a product, the customer may opt for a certain level of customer support. If the customer purchases several products,they will have an option to keep the same level of support for all the products. Some of the support levels are available for customers to purchase in certain support regions.
In case a customer tampers with the product or modifies it without the permission of Norton, the company may choose to terminate support to the customer. if the customer uses this product in violation of the user agreements, support might be terminated. Norton reserves the right to terminatesupport to the customer if they violate any user agreement as mentioned in the User Policy.
Norton ensures that the support is done in a professional manner and adheres to the industry standards. For any violation of this warranty, the customer’s remedy and the company’s liability will be the re-performance of the support. This is applicable only if the customer provideswrittennoticeof the breach within thirty days. the support does not guarantee that it will be free from defects and errors and will protect from all threats.
